A note to the babies…and the Mommy’s and Daddy’s

Hello sweet little one.

Your little fingers.

Your little toes.

Your heartbeat.

No matter how long it beat, you were you.

You were our baby.

You were special.

Forever ours you will be.

Thank you for changing our lives.

For teaching us that God still has a plan, even when we feel broken and confused.

For proving that miracles do happen.

Of course, we wish we were celebrating your arrival this month, but we know all things work together for God’s purpose and for His glory.

It’s hard not to think about the “what-ifs”but what a comfort to know you are running full of joy with Jesus and so many of our loved ones.  And you get to be a part of that joyous celebration each and EVERY day.

Sweet little babe.

Know you made a difference.

Your life may have been short, but it served a purpose.

Know you rocked your Mommy and Daddy’s lives for the better.

You were and still are, so loved.

To the Mommy’s and Daddy’s like us, missing a baby, a child, teenager, adult child - know that you are loved.  You are seen.  You have been prayed over as this blog has been written and shared.

Trust God in the pain.  In the confusion.  In the healing.  In the middle of the “what-ifs” playing out in your life.  It may seem like a mess but that mess will become beauty one day.  It may not be in a way that we can imagine, but God is still in the business of performing miracles.  Trust that grieving is normal.  Be willing to speak up.  I’m confident someone, somewhere is feeling hurt too and could use a friend.

May you choose to believe in love.  Believe in life.  Believe you are here for a reason.  And believe that your pain can be used to bring someone else a sense of peace.  And one day soon, we will be reunited and experiencing Heaven much like they are right now.  Be brave Mommy’s and Daddy’s.  Your baby is never far from your heart.

Psalm 119:68 [The Passion Translation]

Everything you do is beautiful, flowing from your goodness; teach me the power of your wonderful words!
